This is a rather dated movie... that never gets old! A quirky twist on the gay for pay perception and described as a black comedy, it certainly was! The first time I viewed it, I was very anxious about it being comedy about 9 dead gay guys. From beginning to end it's a movie full of innuendo's and stabs at the political establishment. Having lived in Britain is the greatest connection to understanding the humour. I never get tired of watching this movie over and over. I tried to find a DVD without success! When ever I am fortunate enough to find it sadly it's either poor quality or spoiled by subtitles one is unable to disable. I'll still recommend to anyone for it's quirky humour and uniquely complementing sound track which is always on the mark.

Whether this movie is good or bad is for anyone to say. However, I wish I was around 19 or 20 years old at this time in America in 1972. With movies like this, Eraserhead, Last Tango In Paris, The Exorcist, along with the disco scene and Studio 54 and all the crazy things people were starting to open up to....must have been a hell of a time to be a young person in 1972. Nowadays, as they say, there is nothing new under the sun. A trip to the movies is the latest recycling of Marvel conveyor belt drek.
